Real Couples // Classmate Love Story: Nicole + Stephen

Nicole and Stephen met in a photojournalism class many moons ago. Nicole noticed Stephen and moved to sit next to him—and the rest, as they say, is history :). Now they’ve been together for a number of years, have met life’s challenges together, and have come out stronger on the other side. Today Nicole is the brains and skills behind 43rd Ave. Photography—documenting weddings and families in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nicole and I have worked together on weddings for years, and I was so thrilled that she and Stephen entrusted me with photographing their wedding. It was a perfect fall day in the East Bay. Nicole hung out with her best friends, sister and grandmother while getting her hair and makeup done while Stephen and his mom practiced their first dance, and his dad was there to help with his tie. The ceremony took place in the beautiful redwood grove at Piedmont Community Hall with many friends and family in attendance. A special chair was set aside with flowers in remembrance of Nicole’s mom. We got a chance to catch the last few rays of the autumn sun with some portraits, and then it was time to celebrate! The food was, no joke, some of the tastiest I’ve ever had, and all the details came together perfectly. Most importantly, Nicole and Stephen officially intertwined their lives together, and I couldn't be happier for them.
