Bakery Proposal in Denver, Colorado: Chris + Nate

Nate and I both were both born and raised not very far from one another in the South. I'm from Natchez, Mississippi, and Nate is from Lafayette, Louisiana.
Our journey started with a match through Tinder! Both of us were in search of love, but had terrible luck with actually finding someone who would give us that "tingle". Our first conversation was about one of our favorite desserts: ice cream! He learned quickly that I LOVE food.
He greeted me with a big hug when we first met, and in that moment, I knew Nate was special. He was and still is so sweet and considerate, from small gestures such as making me walk the inner part of the sidewalk when traffic is bustling, to the many surprises that show how much he cares. He truly is my better half.
I know it's love because Nate used to not care for sugary foods. Now, he blames me for his dessert cravings! Who would have thought?! We wanted to document our proposal, and Sugar Bakeshop was the place to do it — for obvious reasons! We had a baking-a-pie lesson that turned into a sweet surprise.
